Welcome to Northern West Virginia Quarter Horse Association
The purpose of NWVQHA shall be to promote interest in the American Quarter Horse. We are promoting the breed through sponsoring horse shows, exhibiting the AQHA horse, encouraging youth and amateur activities at these events, and sponsoring clinics to further educate people in the area. The shows are held at the Barbour County Fairgrounds in Philippi, WV located on Route 250 S., Belington, WV.

***New Ground Rules for 2008 show season***
A couple of rule changes--Special Event shows will count towards year end awards and amateur select halter points will be used from amateur halter for year end awards. .
As always please keep your dog on a leash & IN HAND OR TIED UP! VIOLATORS WILL BEGIVEN A WARNING AND THEN THE DOG CATCHER CALLED! We have had numerous problems with vicious dogs!
If you are going to fairgrounds before Thursday you must request permission by calling Brenda or John Ackerman

No Bike riding during show hours- 8 AM until ? No Bikes parked in front of barns, in barns, or around barns.
Please park your trailer to allow maximum number of trailers to hook up in front of draft horse barn.
No riding will be permitted after 6:00am. in the covered pen until after halter or showmanship classes are completed. No lunging will be permitted in the covered pen after halter or showmanship classes; riding only.
